Johnson Farms

What are these things Daddy? We took Bennett to Johnson Farms on Saturday. It is a huge farm and pumpkin patch not too far from us. It was a beautiful day (as you can see from the pictures there was not a cloud in the sky and it was in the upper 70's) and we thought Bennett would enjoy some new sights. He thought these goats were pretty strange.
This pumpkin cannon was crazy!!! He was shooting those pumpkins you see on the ground out of this device and into or past a pond on the property. When they hit the pond, they just shattered into bits. He shot one that they estimated went a 1/4 of a mile!!!! I didn't think it was ever going to come down! It actually went over a tree line and we couldn't see where it landed.
Although Bennett is too young to do much there we still had a wonderful time. Along with the goats, we saw the largest bull I have ever seen, a pig and her 8 new 3 week old piglets, baby chickens, miniature horses and pigs used in their pig races which we did not get to see as Bennett was ready for a nap.
Next year we will take him on the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch so he can pick out his own pumpkin.
